I had a wonderful treat today! I had the opportunity to visit Williamson County Animal Rescue and photograph some of their adoptable pups. Not only were they adorable, they were dressed to impress! After entering a national contest to win funds for their rescue, they decided on a special theme…which left me enjoying these hilarious and adorable models! For more information on adopting these awesome dogs, please contact laurac@williamson-tn.org

Meet Musidora Glaze, a senior female Aussie/Cattle Dog/Corgi mix! This funny girl decided that as long as I had my camera out, she was going to look the opposite direction just because she could. Either that, or she really loves her profile and wanted to make sure I captured her good side! We enlisted the help of our friendly Animalia staff and a squeaky toy, just long enough to get some great photos of this beauty.
Muse was surrendered by her owners and is currently being cared for by a wonderful foster here in Nashville until she can leave for PAWS New England. I’m always impressed with how many people volunteer their time and efforts, working together across the country to find forever homes for these pups. Thank you for all that you do! As always, thank you to Animalia for lending their beautiful facility for photos today. For more information on Muse, contact snootygiggles@gmail.com

The April issue of Nashville Paw will be featuring one of our local rescues, Agape Animal Rescue! I had the pleasure of photographing two gorgeous dogs for this upcoming cover, Autumn and Riley, both of which are still looking for their forever homes. Rarely do I get a chance to post a behind the scenes look at one of our shoots, but we had Agape’s foster coordinator Estella with us to capture a quick snapshot of our muddy, but successful cover shoot. Below is Autumn posing for her fabulous feature headshot, and the cover photo, showcasing Riley’s beautiful smile!

Ok folks, I’ve been waiting to introduce this little beauty! Meet the new foster addition at Camp Snooty, Peacie Gayle, an 11 week old doodle weighing only three pounds. She will not be up for adoption until her medical issues have been sorted out, but I wanted to introduce her because she’s too darn cute to keep from everyone! For more information on Peacie, please contact snootygiggles@gmail.com

It’s raining puppies at Camp Snooty! Say hello to these handsome pups, Burnaby, Brick, Beats, and Barlow. From the moment I met them they were on the go, such quick little movers. These sweethearts are headed to their foster home for now, but will be looking for their forever homes very soon. For more information on adopting these little guys, please contact snootygiggles@gmail.com

Meet Winki! This 2 year old Boston Terrier/French Bulldog mix is a lovable lap dog who gave me endless kisses today during our photo session. Her foster mama says she seems to be missing something, as if she may have had young children in her previous home and is sad without them. She perks up when the school bus stops outside her foster home, almost as if she’s waiting for the kids to run through the front door. This sweet girl has a lot of love to give, and will be ready for adoption once her upper respiratory infection clears up! Please contact snootygiggles@gmail.com for more info

Meet Stoked! A little male pittie mix and new addition to the Snooty Giggles family. Although he has a few bald spots due to demodex, that certainly hasn’t messed with his confidence! This sweet boy is a playful mover, giving me a challenging yet adorable moving target today. It’s always a delicate balance of getting the right shots, while cuddling and being nibbled on by playful pups. A very happy Thursday indeed:) Contact snootygiggles@gmail.com for more info!

Yesterday was a fun day with my new friends, Amelia, Bella & Ellie! These girls are full of energy and were excited to introduce me to their favorite toys and comfy beds. After a successful Whisker Session, we explored their neighborhood walking route and found something special…the girls have a favorite yard with lush, green grass, perfect for a mid day roll! It was adorable to see Ellie rolling back and forth on her back, soaking up the sun and showing off her big puppy smile. Thanks for a wonderful session girls!

A little shout out to some of my friends! First up is a lovely young woman by the name of Jordan, who is trying to make her project come to life with the help of fellow animal lovers. Jordan is writing a children’s book called “An Odd Pair On An Ordinary Day,” inspired by her very own pups to teach opposites to children. She has raised about half of what is needed through her Kickstarter campaign and only has 9 days left to reach her goal! Let’s show some support for our local East Nashville girl, every little bit helps! You can find out more about Jordan’s book and how to donate to her project here:  http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/283906087/an-odd-pair-on-an-ordinary-day-teaching-kids-oppos

Last but not least, be sure to visit our incredible vet clinic here in Franklin, Animalia Health and Wellness! The thing I love about Animalia is that they work hand in hand with local rescues, which is a difficult thing to balance considering we have so many abandoned and mistreated pups needing medical attention. I love and appreciate all that they do! Have I also mentioned that they have an amazing boutique filled with tasty treats, fabulous clothing and much more? This past weekend was the amazing Tutus, Ties & Tinis: A Dog Prom! I had a blast photographing the stylish pups and their 80’s themed party going families. The colorful event was held at Animalia Health & Wellness in Franklin, TN, and all money raised will go directly to vet bills and ongoing surgeries needed for the many pups at Snooty Giggles Dog Rescue. Thanks again to everyone who came out to support our cause, and party like it’s 1984!
